Chanderi sarees and their history go back to the 7th century. They are woven in the town of Chanderi and hence the name. They are made in cotton, silk, and silk cotton yarn. The traditional Chanderi saree has peacock motifs or flower motifs. With modernization spreading everywhere, the weavers are now incorporating different patterns like geometric designs too.

An orange coloured saree with tiny buttis delicately woven in zari all over the saree with a 2 inch zari border running all along the 6 yards. A blouse in the sama colour is attached to the saree.
WASH CARE: DRY CLEAN ONLY FOR ALL SAREES. IT IS RECOMMENDED TO LEAVE THEM OPEN FOR A FEW HOURS AFTER USE TO AIR THEM. SOMETIMES MISPRINTS OR SMUDGES OF COLOURS WOULD BE SEEN IN SPITE OF EXPERT ARTISANS AT WORK, WHICH SHOULD NOT BE CONSIDERED AS A DEFECT.
